Experience Semaphore like never before with the Family and Group Picnic Trail—a self-guided food adventure built for groups of 2–6 people. Collect curated sweet and savoury bites from local favourites, then head to the foreshore and enjoy your shared picnic at your own pace.

It works just as well for a team day out as it does for a family weekend. Think birthdays, friend catch-ups, work social clubs, staff rewards and team-building afternoons — everyone walks, chats, eats and shares something at the end. Great value too, with everything included: food, drinks, cutlery, tote bag, games and a map with QR codes for extra surprises.

The trail experience is the same for both adults and children. Allow 90 minutes minimum to complete the trail. Many venues offer gluten-free, vegetarian, and dairy-free options—just let us know your dietary needs at booking. Come hungry, leave with memories.

The trail runs all year round. However, we understand that plans change—you can reschedule up to 48 hours in advance.

We understand that dietary needs are important and always do our best to accommodate where possible. 

While not every stop can cater to all requirements, most participating venues offer:

• Vegetarian
• Dairy-free options (upon request)

Your picnic map will guide you to locations that may have suitable alternatives.

Food is prepared by our local partner venues, so we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. We intentionally don’t disclose the full menu to preserve the element of surprise. Offerings may vary depending on seasonal menus and availability.
Ice packs are not provided—please bring one (and a cooler bag) if you plan to take refrigerated items home.
