Semaphore Saturdays: Discover Local Businesses

Semaphore Saturdays community initiative by Clever Little Picnic and B.E Home By Binding Energies, celebrating local shops, cafés and businesses.

Discover local. Meet the people. Celebrate Semaphore.

Semaphore Saturdays celebrates the independent businesses, community stories and people who make Semaphore, South Australia, such a special place to live, work and visit. From cafés and boutiques to creative businesses, charities and local services, there is so much to discover on our doorstep.

This community initiative is brought to you by Clever Little Picnic and Binding Energies, two women-owned businesses in Semaphore with a shared passion for supporting local businesses and connecting our community.

The idea for Semaphore Saturdays was inspired by Moonta Mondays. Take a look at the Moonta Collective on the Yorke Peninsula to discover where the inspiration began.

Meet the businesses behind Semaphore

Every business has a story worth sharing.

Each week, we'll be heading out around Semaphore to meet a local business, chat with the people behind it and discover what makes it unique. We'll explore what they do, what they're passionate about and the little details that make their business special.

From favourite cafés and independent shops to services and creative spaces you may not have discovered yet, Semaphore Saturdays is about getting to know the people behind the shopfronts.

Explore Semaphore and support local businesses

Small businesses are at the heart of our local community. They bring character to our streets, create opportunities, support one another and help make Semaphore the coastal destination we know and love.

Whether you live nearby or are planning a visit, we hope these stories inspire you to explore Semaphore, try somewhere new and shop locally.

Through Semaphore Saturdays, we hope to:

  • Celebrate the people behind Semaphore's local businesses.
  • Introduce locals and visitors to businesses they may not have discovered before.
  • Encourage our community to explore Semaphore and support independent shops, cafés and services.
  • Create connections between local businesses and the wider community.
  • Showcase the variety, creativity and personality of our business community.

Most importantly, it's about celebrating what makes Semaphore special, one business and one story at a time.
