Our picnic trails are a relaxed way to explore the city's best local cafés, bakeries, and specialty food stores — collecting delicious picnic treats as you go. Currently running in Semaphore, right by the beach, and now expanding to the historic waterfront of Port Adelaide, there's a trail for every kind of Adelaide day out.

Proudly locally owned and operated, our trails celebrate South Australian food, community, and small business — all just 30 minutes from the Adelaide CBD.

Trails run: Wednesday to Saturday, lunchtime.

The self guided walking trail takes around 90 minutes to 2 hours, giving you plenty of time to explore, enjoy the shops, and relax with your picnic at a designated area.

Some trails can accommodate gluten-free, nut-free, and dairy-free options. Please let us know when booking.

How the Picnic Trail Works

  • Book your preferred date and time online, or visit us in our Semaphore store.
  • Receive a confirmation email with everything you need to know, including your starting location in either Semaphore Beach or Port Adelaide.
  • Collect your bag and map, then follow the trail, gathering delicious treats from local businesses along the way.
  • Scan optional QR codes for extra fun, games, and local stories.
  • Finish by enjoying your picnic goodies by the beach or at a nearby park.
