New to the trail family! The Port Adelaide Picnic Trail is a relaxed, self-guided foodie adventure through one of Adelaide's most historic waterfront precincts. Wander past heritage warehouses, maritime landmarks, and the Port River as you discover local cafés, bakeries, and specialty food stores — collecting delicious picnic treats along the way.

Just like our Semaphore trail, it's proudly locally owned and operated, celebrating South Australian food, community, and small business — all just 20 minutes from the Adelaide CBD.

• Opening hours: Wednesday to Saturday, 11:15 am – 12:30 pm
• Duration: Around 90 minutes to 2 hours
• Dietary needs: Nut-free, and vegetarian options available — just let us know when booking

The walking trail takes around 90 minutes to 2 hours, giving you plenty of time to explore the historic port precinct and relax with your picnic by the water.

How the Port Adelaide Picnic Trail Works

1. Book your preferred date and time online.
2. Receive a confirmation email with everything you need to know.
3. Start at the Port Adelaide Visitor Information Centre where you'll receive your picnic map and free tote bag.
4. Follow the trail through Port Adelaide, collecting delicious treats from local businesses along the way.
5. Scan optional QR codes for extra fun, games, and local stories.
6. Finish by enjoying a picnic with your goodies by the waterfront or at a nearby park.
